Occupational Therapist
Part time positions offer flexible scheduling and great pay. Full time positions offer full benefits.
Essential Functions
- Assess and document pediatric patient's communication status using clinical observations, caregiver report, standardized testing, occupational profile, strengths and participation challenges. Analyze information to address foundational deficits causing difficulties with skill development. Develop a plan for treatment that integrates the family's values, child's deficits and clinical guidelines/recommendations.
- Document ongoing progress towards goals.
- Address goals and provide treatment in a way that supports sensory-motor, cognitive, psychological, and behavioral development.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with other disciplines within the clinic- physical therapy, occupational therapy, counseling and other professionals outside of the clinic to provide comprehensive, individualized care.
- Follow AOTA and other research-based guidelines to evaluate and treat pediatric patients.
- Desire to expand clinical knowledge and develop clinical reasoning skills.
- Education, Experience and Certifications Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy required. NC license for Occupational Therapy required. NBCOT certification required.
- Passionate about pediatrics.

- Enthusiasm about a child-led approach using play and intrinsic motivation.
- Understanding of Ayres Sensory Integration, Floortime, SOS Feeding and ocular motor deficits.
